So ya, Christmas is over, almost New Years... went to Daytona Beach for 4 days before Christmas, it was nice, but cold, but good change of scenary for a few days!
Christmas was crazy... went from our house, to Jeremy's mom's house, to my parents house, to Jeremy's dad's house... ate WAAAAAYYYY too much food at all of them! But overall it went well, gave some great stuff, got some great stuff, spend some time with the families...
K... I finally did it, I made an appointment at Best Fitness to tour and possible join... god, I am such a loser... but oh well, hopefully it goes well!
Did Chili's with the Ladies last night, fun stuff! Started off by jumping into traffic to get Alison's attention so she could get a sweet parking spot! Ok, so it wasn't traffic cause we were in a parking lot but it was still dramatic! Dinner was good, service was crappy... but dessert... mmmm... were they good!!
Next event... New Years... hopefully I can stay up that late... I am getting old you know!! :-P

So ya, I think it should be mandatory to have the day you return from vacation be a 1/2 day... your body needs time to get back into this 'work' thing... UH... I am so dragging ass today.

haha... mental rehydration... classic BS right there!! (and by BS I don't mean bull shit!) :-D

i love vacation
ya I have had this whole week off and it has been amazing! Jeremy, Dexter and I hiked which was about 8 miles totally and it rocked!
2 of my 4 martini's at Giorgio's were free thanks to Michael, the best bar tender ever! Jeremy has a drink named after him at Giorgio's... ya we are VIP now!! Ha... I love it!!
Took Dexter to visit my work today to pick up some stuff... they all loved him, but how could they not!!
Going out with THE GIRLS tonight and I am SOOOOOOO FREAKIN' EXCITED!!!
Tomorrow is THANKSGIVING... mmm... non-stop eating, I can't wait!!

shut 'em down!
So today our handsome computer guy* was in the office setting up the new server and such so we had to completely shut down our machines. Since my whole office revolves around using computers we all had nothing to do, so we chatted, had some coffee, enjoyed the break, which lasted about 20 minutes.
I decided that we should do that every day... why not have a 20 minutes break where EVERYONE in the office stops what they are doing and just chills for a bit.
Ya that would be great. I think it would increase productivity later in the day!
*handsome computer guy = Jeremy (yes, my Jeremy!)

You think you know, but you have no idea...
So I am pretty convinced that the company I work for is NOT like any other. First off, there are 2 companies(for reference purposes: CPI & OS) being run in this tini office, some employees overlap and work for both, some only work for 1 company. Right now there are approximately 10 people in the office, and I am the ONLY one working for CPI. The other girl who works for CPI comes in at noon, after she gets out of her radio job. Now, how is it that 2 people can run an entire company with no major problems, but the other 8-10 people can't seem to do anything right with the other company? Amazing. Well anyways, we get more memos in one then other companies get in an entire year, here is an examples:
"I want every desk to have a stack of scrap paper on it, clearly visible for the use of all. If someone stops by any desk in the building they should be able to readily access a piece of scrap paper and a pen without having to search. This is not a request it is a directive, and it is effective beginning today. Thank you."
We have also got memos on parking, intercom paging procedure, lunch schedules, who gets to order food and who doesn't, dress code, absolutely no food or drink at desk (but only sometimes), and more memos about proper procedures then you can imagine!
I know some of those may not seem like a big deal, but basically they are ridiculous cause we all know when a memo is coming, no one really enforces them, and if they are re-enforced its thru ANOTHER memo. I am convinced that no one wants to have face-to-face communication. The other funny thing is our office is tiny, you can hear someone sneeze from the other side of the office.
The best thing (and by best I mean most ridiculous) about my office is that the older women down stairs are much more loud, abnoxious and x-rated then the younger girls upstairs, but they don't get yelled at, we get yelled at every 5 seconds for talking too loud, even if its work-related.
Yes, I absolutely love my job!
